Classes run from 1 30 - 4 30pm
 
In the course of the nine weeks you will learn basic oil painting skills.
I will take you through colour mixing.
Preparation of canvas for painting, drawing in paint, gridding up or tracing of subjects.
How to apply paint for blocking in / scumble, direct painting, impasto and palette knife techniques.
Brush handling and the cleaning of brushes.
Glazing and Varnishing.
 
If you are unsure what to paint I can set up a still life, or we can paint a landscape, seascape, a bird, an abstract, a portrait or a pet portrait !! Or if you have a project you want to work on please bring it along.
 
This course is for beginners or more advanced painters, you will all learn new skills and improve your own skill sets.
 
It is a relaxed friendly environment with tea and biscuits on tap.
