In both our road trips around Scotland we drove past this view of the Quiraing on the Island of Skye, and both times I was struck by the vast mountain range carving it’s way out of the quiet earth with a majesty I found captivating and always remembered it, as I recall it today I still can’t explain the effect it had in my memory and why I was drawn to paint it !!
